It is to most people today. To some people it is morally right.
For most of human history it was morally right to most people. A lot of slaves didn't like it, of course. But, ask a Roman citizen in the year 100 whether slavery was morally wrong, and he'd look at you like you were crazy for even asking the question.
Moral rightness and wrongness is purely a matter of opinion. If humans did not exist to think about things, nothing would be "right" or "wrong." That's why we don't attribute moral wrongness to when a Tiger rips the throat out of a gazelle. It is. Whether it is right or wrong is a human invention.
