the win condition thing is a bust as we have no way of knowing if scum knew towns PM or if different people got different win conditions ....amok wrote:That would sort of clear Barnett and Ksen. I just can't wrap my head around Irre bringing up the win condition thing as Scum, especially since it was so, well, you know.
just for the record Mine did not actually give a win condition for town it said I was town and I would win with town but no mention of how town would win (ie it did not say "when all threats to town are eliminated" or "when all scum are dead" ..BUT I don't think Irre scum would have used the win condition thing on day one

I didn't push the theory. It was fresh insight and I consider a plausible option. Not wifom.amok wrote:OK. I'm going to answer why I'm quite sure that Oblivion was killed by Scum, but on re-thinking I understand why people might have thought UT made himself a bomb. As I said, I haven't read the books, so the first thing I did was check this site:Linus wrote:It's a question for Feck, but it will do no harm if others answer.amok wrote:Is that question for Feck or for me?Linus wrote:Explain. For example, how do you interpret "you think you may have spotted the cause of the missing landscape; a filthy old piece of luggage"?Feck wrote: read the OP again ..slowly .

...which says, among other things:
That, combined with Zigmen's use of the phrase "the cause of the missing landscape" strongly suggests to me that Oblivion ate UT (and a chunk of the road). And that Oblivion was killed by Scum. They'd only have known at that point that she wasn't Scum, and Oblivion would be way high on the list of get-rid-ofs for any sensible Scum team.... the Luggage often just tears through a place leaving a wake of destruction and completely swallowing everything in its path...
I had immediately put KSen, Mattshizzle and MZ on my Scum list for pushing the "no Scum kill" theory, but I'm backing off from that now because I see where it was coming from.

I think it is an individual thing. And I think that is what most scum tend to do. not allFeck wrote:

I got the same message. I didn't think there was anything weird in that. Isn't killing scum an implicit goal for town.Although It might be ambiguous wrt an indi/sk.Feck wrote:the win condition thing is a bust as we have no way of knowing if scum knew towns PM or if different people got different win conditions ....amok wrote:That would sort of clear Barnett and Ksen. Yep but my point was there is no good reason to suspect that there was scum on the BW ,there might have been or there might not .Magicziggy wrote:I think it is an individual thing. And I think that is what most scum tend to do. not allFeck wrote:

In many games scum have watched town lynch town on day one and not jumped on the BW ( I don't think I have ever joined a BW to lynch town when i've been scum unless it was to rescue a team member and even that got me killed when I did it !) .
Also ,if I'm right ,It would suit scum to say that there must be some scum on the BW as it cast suspicion on town players.

I've previously stated that the bw us more for analyzing later, perhaps once the first scum is known. And I have listed 0 as a possible number on this particular one. Of more interest is irres disappearance. Hope she's ok. Not aware of any notice about her being away this long.

I agree that's disturbing. And not in a Mafia way, just that it's so odd.Magicziggy wrote:I've previously stated that the bw us more for analyzing later, perhaps once the first scum is known. This should be an interesting hour or so. I think scum have voted. They won't want to be voting late in the piece. And not voting is scummy as well.

I know how I want to vote. I'm a little worried that I've misinterpreted something.
