First off, the GM told me that all the scum have won an all-expense paid weekend in the hovel of their choice, just post here to claim your prize.

This post by Mantis is so odd to me. She can't follow through on her "research" about Irre's mayor-voting habits, but finds something suspicious about DP's perfectly ordinary use of a phrase such as "First off" because he also used it when he was Scum?

It seems that Mantis has done an awful lot of finger-pointing in all kinds of directions.

And this is shooting myself in the foot a bit because I was the first to say I don't have a "weird" win condition, but I'm also suspicious of the way Mantis reacted. The variations of "me neither" could be seen as a safe harbour for Scum, because Scum would know I'm not.

Is that your main reason for suspecting mantis?

After rereading some bits... if I were to vote mantis, it would be because I don't think the win condition "weirdness" is attributable to flavor.

Why the apologetics for Shizz? Unhelpful play is supposed to be voted for. I feel like DP is being set-up.

Do you have an idea of who, if it's true that he is actually town?

I would like to point out that a few people have FOS'd me (you, irre, MZ) with no real substance and I'm afraid this is going to be another game where I get lynched Day 1 for trying to scumhunt. So if your FOSing me, please give some reasoning so I can at least defend myself for whatever is you think I did that is scummy. If you think I am scum, why not vote for me? Instead irre just says 'I would like to see [insert player] lynched' and then claims she's an expert on reading them. Her overconfidence gets the best of her as often as it turns up results. I think she's misleading us towards a townie lynch with DP. I also think asking about win conditions could have hurt the town, so provided that Zig could have gave the scum the town's win condition. So irre is still a wild card to me, and she usually is early in the game. That's why she is always made to be mayor.

Shizz should be lynched because he just dropped a vote on DP after irre rallied everyone against him. That's how scum push town wagons Day One, they act followy.

Linus is hard to read, period. He's very intelligent and that makes him dangerous to keep around. He is also acting followy towards irre.

That wasn't really an fos on you.

It was your vote on Matt that threw me off enough to cause me to go back and forth on who looked the scummiest.


I don't have a lot of time right now, will be leaving for work shortly.

But, Linus and UT stand out to me.

Gonzo, you pointed out the DP wagon - I reread the thread, and if DP is town, i found Linus's vote on him to stand out the most to me.

I'm not sure about UT either. I found that a lot of his posts have revolved around asking amok questions.. and it's uncertain to me whether he's fosing her, or... not sure.

I think i'm leading the votes right now, which is unfortunate - because i'm town.

and amok, regards to DP - it was just something I remembered from last game. Sometimes, people will have a tendency to break the ice into the game by using similar trends, as scum. But I wasn't going to sit on the computer for hours searching through all the games. maybe it was bizarre...?

I'm inclined to believe Mantis. Looking at what others have picked up on, the fos over dp's ''first off'', suggesting to irre that irre only votes for her when she's scum - I can't really see scum making those sorts of FoSes, they're much too likely to get a negative reaction. I realise that's a bit WIFOM - but who does'nt enjoy a good WIFOM.

Also, I like her interaction with UT, she points out the things I would have pointed out.

mz is looking a lot more town this morning, and mantis is looking really off.

xpost with athene, the things you point out just feels more like she's going after targets she feels are vulnerable. She went after irre when ob said she was considering irre might be scum. she goes after dp when i'm arguing with him. It just seems like scumhunting light.
