Do you think that might be due to it only running for two seasons? Or would that make too much sense?Gawdzilla wrote:"Twin Peaks" didn't have plot after the second season.Mallardz wrote:Americans cancelled Twin Peaks.

A book is a version of the world. If you do not like it, ignore it; or offer your own version in return.

No, it would be because they couldn't sell the "plot" for the third season to anybody at the network.Xamonas Chegwé wrote:Do you think that might be due to it only running for two seasons? Re: The Event
I thought this was about something else.
I personally didn't even get by the first half of the pilot of "The Event" so I'm surprised it even got commissioned. Think yourself lucky you got a season or two out of it because you were probably the only person watching it by the end.

They only had the confusing flashbacks for a few episodes before they started telling the story in a straight line to stop confusing people. Personally, I thought the fractured story-telling of the first few was great.Audley Strange wrote:I thought this was about something else.

It really wasn't that hard to follow.

I initially confused this with that turkey of a movie, "The Happening". M. Night Ramble-on, IIRC?Audley Strange wrote:I thought this was about something else.

I never said it was hard to follow. What I did think was that it was derivative, poorly acted shit so I turned it off.Even Adam wrote:They only had the confusing flashbacks for a few episodes before they started telling the story in a straight line to stop confusing people. Hell, the acting was far better than most of the stuff that gets renewed over and over again.Audley Strange wrote:I never said it was hard to follow. What I did think was that it was derivative, poorly acted shit so I turned it off.

Re: The Event
I hit that a lot. Confused "Skyline" with "Battle: Los Angeles" before I'd seen either and really fucked up some comments at JREF. Merry confusion ensued.Audley Strange wrote:I did exactly the same yes.Gawdzilla wrote:I initially confused this with that turkey of a movie, "The Happening". M.
