Of course, many Muslim protesters (actual and potential) wouldn't think twice about burning US flags, effigies of the U.S. president, etc. Nor would they stay themselves from torching symbols from any religion other than theirs.

That's because they know everyone else "respects" their right to do that without consequence.

And that too is part of the underlying problem.

I am an equal rights type. Everyone has the right to be gravely offended by someone else dissing their views.

Maybe we should torch a few creationist faith schools. I find them offensive.

Presumably if one was to make a fake holy book, you know, out of a bit of card (with the relevant title on the cover) and some bits of newspaper for the middle, they'd STILL get upset if you burnt it.
