My (real) name is Chris, I live in England and... Well. I don't often post in forums, although hopefully this will change. I'm an atheist - although you probably guessed - and would consider myself a sceptic. My interests are something like philosophy, scepticism and religion (of course), video games and probably some other stuff I can't remember. As a hobby I programme (games, mostly), although I'm still very much learning.
I'm 15 (no NSFW forum for me then...). That deserves a paragraph of its own.
Hopefully I won't have too much time to spend on the forum this summer - although I expect I will, so I'll make myself at home

Hello and welcome, I hope you find some enjoyable equilibration for a while here.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
