The OP says that the mayor has 1.5 votes for lynching, so potentially a tie breaker, but that seems to be it.
Ah ok... so it's mainly ceremonial.
Seems to be, unless there's something Oblivion isn't telling us, he did say if the mayor was killed a new one would have to be elected.

We want someone we think is town. The only power the mayor has is 1.5 votes, but that can make a big difference in a close lynch vote.
We can't know about anyone else, right?

I am with town, but if I nominate and get made mayor would I get whacked tonight? Is that what happens - scum kill someone overnight?
There is nothing in the OP about the night actions, and even in the sign up thread all the talk was of game days, none of nights.

Is this a 12 hour-a-day game?

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Typical Bene gesserit, already planning on being the last woman standing.

What is the emperors truth-sayer doing on Arrakis anyway? Should you not be on Kaitain with Shaddam?

I think you are mistaking courage in the face of fear for bravado in the face of danger, but that's understandable as we haven't met before.

I did not ask to be here. But as it is my lot to be here, I shall do all I can to further the cause of all humanity, female or male.

I'd like to here more of the candidates policies. For instances, if elected major, would you let me share your tent :naughty: ?

I am not, and shall not become, a candidate. Plus, as I am a committed virgin, you would find my tent a less than amusing bivouac, Virphen ;)

The mother of the Lady Jessica, wife of Duke Leto Atriedes, a committed virgin?

Ha, more Bene Gesserit lies.

Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.

Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Just saying
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

You will recall that I was drugged and raped, DP, from which ordeal Jessica was conceived. I myself am married to no-one and give myself to none.

I'm sure there are night actions given the list of specials that obsidian gave us.
Will the Mayor be killed? Hard to say. It depends on what scum decides. They might figure that the Mayor will be protected and so they will kill someone else. Or -- the Mayor might be scum. A seer could tell that.

You had orders from the sisterhood to conceive a child with the baron, that you had to submit in such a fashion to satisfy his... tastes is your own business, and you exacted a fine revenge upon him in the process.

I'm sure Jessica isn't the only child you have borne for the sisterhood.
