Torrance, eh? Ironically at least two people who would remember that little chat-window error I mentioned in another thread are neighbors of yours. One is an anal-retentive compulsive liar I hope to never hear from again :banghead:, but the other, to tie back into this thread, has been involved in the film industry a bit; he helped get the Robot Chicken series started in its early days, and worked with Danny DeVito and Morgan Freeman for a while at a company that was going to try direct internet releases of first-run movies. (Clearly it didn't work out.)
Who needs a signature anyway?

In California it seems everyone has either lived there or known someone who's lived there. (I haven't lived there for five years but otherwise I've spent nearly the whole of my life there).

@drl2 - what about George Thorogood? :)

The only one I can think of is Janet Fielding who played Tegan in Dr Who - she went to the same University as me. But given that she's 8 years older than me she was long gone by the time I got there! ;)

Yes! Satyajit Ray and Gunter Grass! :td: Mother Teresa was a ripe old bitch, though, so I'm not sure if I'd be bragging about that.

The most I recall at the moment is The Kingdom was filmed in Phoenix recently. I only remember this because someone died on set.

The train station in the film The Michael Collins is Rush (my hometown's) trainstation in county Dublin.
Most of Some Mother's Son is filmed around Rush and neighbouring villages.
Most of Father Ted was filmed around here. In fact, years ago some girls were called out of my class and asked if they wanted to be in a TV programme, little did they know at the time it would be one of the greatest comedies of all time. The town hall used in the disco episode where the only music the DJ has is Ghost Town by The Specials is our town hall.
Comedian Jason Byrne lives in the next town over, he also happens to be my cousin.
The mansion I can see from my bedroom window in the field next to me of which is now only the ruins of the side entrance still stand...

...was used in the films The Face of Fu Manchu(1965), Ten Little Indians (1965 film) and Jules Verne's Rocket to the Moon(1967).
Of course, it was still standing then.

(Can't find a pic of it. You'll have to make do with the faded image behind the one above).
