Those jackasses didn't pay close enough attention to what we did to Saddam's military and what we will therefore do to Iran's military if they push this too far. Our carrier will go back to the Persian Gulf when it's damned good and ready to go, escorted by a full battle group (or two or three) and with all the backup it needs to vaporize Iraq's military capacity inside of 48 hours just like we did in Iraq. Meanwhile, our navy is puttering about while we collect intel on where to send the cruise missiles first, second, third, fourth and so on.

I've had a crazy idea about how to break the blockade of the Straits. A mad stampede out of the Gulf by all the stuck ships, as close to each other as possible. Just like a school of fish, the predators (Iran in this case) will only have the opportunity to nail one of two, particularly if the US military is providing covering fire!
