Where is that written requirement?
Nobody, and I did not say it was either. The thread is titled "Stuff on TV or movies that seems wrong or annoying"

It was fun for me and many others.

If not for you that's fine, but you are in a small minority with both viewers and critics.

Still looking for one that did meet your requirements. :pop:
The Devils
The Music Lovers
Shine
All the President's Men
The Longest Day
Henry and June
Underground
Downfall
Nicholas and Alexandra
Schindler's List
Iris
Amadeus
Elizabeth
The Day of the Roses
Lawrence of Arabia

to mention just a few. To one degree or another all of them included scenes that could be at best described as "sympathetic inventions" and all of them left out major portions of the subjects the movies were depicting. None of them sacrificed verisimilitude for the sake of popular appeal.

It only ever takes three attempts to find the backdoor into the Pentagon mainframe.

In car chases they only ever change up. Those gearboxes must have about 20 gears!

After the opening fight scenes in an action movie the hero never spends the rest of the film with two black eyes, a broken wrist, a limp, or complaining about persistent back pain etc.

The only reason to go to the loo is to have a cry or to read secret documents.
it was in fact a historical event that Leave It To Beaver showed a toilet on TV. It was only because Beaver and Wally kept an alligator baby there

Adam Sandler. Why? Tom Hanks I can tolerate.

A lot of actors are annoying, but I will watch a Jack Black or Tina Fey movie anyway. Truly in a class of their own are Sandler and ....hmm...it will come to me.

Yes. Dumb and Dumber had it's moments, but otherwise he's worse than fingernails on a blackboard.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

To my surprise I quite enjoyed watching Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995). On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a low approval rating of 25% based on 28 reviews, with an average rating of 4.2/10. The site's critical consensus reads, "Nature Calls in this Ace Ventura sequel, and it's answered by the law of diminishing returns." I thought it was actually better than the movie that preceded it.

I think I saw that one. He's pretty good at physical comedy, but I just find him too fucking annoying to watch for long.

I think not, it's the granpa who deems all entertainment derives from math problems or his baby granddaughter.

While quite attached to books myself, I won't deny the potential of other media... got a bunch of DVDs over the last 2 months that should last me quite some time (not because there are so many of them but because it takes me an eternity to struggle through a video)
