I agree. I think the best approach (in Australia) is a higher medicare levy - which is the amount you pay each year for universal health care - for those not vaccinated without good reason.

I think in the past it was possible but these days. It is an argument used by the anti-vaxxers here and also a threat to go to court.

Mandatory vaccination is always a conditional process. With childhood vaccinations, it is often not that parents are forced to vaccinate their babies, but that they cannot access various forms of child care/kindergarten if they don't. The same may become true for covid vaccination - no one will hold you down and jab you against your will, but if you choose not to, then there are places/events that you will not be able to attend...
