Speaking for myself, the division is clearly apparent. Democrats have learnt to take the Coronavirus seriously. Republicans tend to stay in denial. That's why infection and fatality rates in US states that largely vote Republican tend to be higher than than in states that largely vote Democrat.



This divide is also reflected in the US Congress:

In the House of Representatives, 29 members of the GOP have announced positive tests, making up just under 15% of all Republicans in the chamber.

After Richmond’s positive test, there are now 10 Democrats in the House that have tested positive, along with an additional presumed coronavirus case back in March from Rep. Nydia Velázquez (D-N.Y.), who did not take a test.

The 11 make up around 4.7% of Democrats in the House.

The gap is even more stark in the Senate, where 15.4% of Republicans have tested positive, compared with 4.2% of the Democratic caucus.

Why doesn't the author compare hospitalisation rates of this year's 4th quarter with hospitalisation rates of the previous two years' 4th quarters? Simple, it destroys the author's attempt to explain the effect of the Coronavirus away. As he notes himself:

the hospital numbers for the fourth quarter of 2020 were about 6%-8% higher than in the fourth quarter of the previous two years

As you can see, although the hospital numbers for the fourth quarter of 2020 were about 6%-8% higher than in the fourth quarter of the previous two years, it was barely higher than the first quarters of every year. The reason it is fair to compare to the worst months of previous years is because it has become clear that the flu is gone for this year and that COVID-19 is this year's version of the flu.

He does give a reason, but my guess is that you would fall on the 'anti-Trump' side (hilarious how that is predictable based on political bias) and Blaze falls on a 'pro-Trump' side.

So I'm left with knowing you don't think clearly about Trump supporters, and knowing they don't think clearly about non-Trump supporters.

Please excuse me for losing my enthusiasm for attempting real discussions with you. Your tendency of telling me what you think of me instead of telling me what's wrong with the facts I offer loses its entertainment value after a couple of dozen times. You then almost invariably change the subject, interspersed with more personal comments and/or start JAQing off, which places more obstacles in the way of attempts to conduct real discussions.
