No, but as usual a man in front of me couldn't vote. He wasn't in the system despite claiming to have registered. Usually it's just a guy in the wrong place, so I guess the matrix is adding variety --thanks.

It's hard to believe Biden is leading here given all the loud Trumpers around.

Yeah, a recent article in the NewScientist suggested that the drop in the death rate per infected person was real, not an artefact of testing numbers etc., and that better medical treatment of those who are hospitalised was a major factor...
Early on the hospitals were being overwhelmed, and so took in only the worst cases, plus there was widespread use of hydroxychloroquine, which it turned out did nothing.

Death rates dropped for all patients.
Some important unknowns are why, and how representative the findings will be of different hospital systems at various stages of the pandemic.

The NewScientist article I read emphasised how difficult it was to properly analyse the data at the moment. The authors suggested that the death rate was going down, but without a high degree of certainty. When this pandemic is mostly over, there will need to be teams of statistical experts gathering and studying the world-wide data in great detail, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, before definitive conclusions can be drawn.
Yep just as I was saying. The data is not trustworthy as there are too many variables and no agreed definitions. Especially out continents as Africa and Asia. Statisticians will be kept busy for years verifying data.

It's a bit like predicting the weather. Short-term modals are pretty reliable but long term forecasting has to account for interactive complexity and variability in the system. It's the three body problem in epidemiology.

We had some 20-30 new cases in the county in May and June. We could not run our bike rides because of the toilets. The city required us to clean the toilet top to bottom after each customer.
Now we have 160 plus cases daily and the city allowed a half marathon. The rows of porta potties, 10-20 at each stop, are already there. I think just hand cleaner is provided.

Natural History museum letting 100-200 kids in. I guess that number is no different from school, other than the kids are the same day after day.

So you have to wipe your ass with your hand since no toilet paper, and then you use the hand cleaner to sanitize your digits.

No. Wipe your ass with the dirty old rag you're using for a mask.

At least it would have some use.

What if Biden shuts down the country? We would only need to shut down 3 weeks. Emergency crews and a few gas stations only working.
