Re: The Trump Pandemic
Driven out? Looks more like they manoeuvred themselves into a position from which they had no other option than to leave. Their claim of their safety being endangered was a political stunt. Had they remained, they themselves would have discredited the claim that the danger was real.
In July 2017 the couple filed a $3.85 million tort claim against Evergreen State College for their inability to protect them from those unbearable "provocative and corrosive verbal and written hostility based on race, as well as threats of physical violence". It was based on a video of a group of students confronting Weinstein and calling him a racist for his opposition to the Day of Absence event, which had been held at the college for a number of years without objections. A month later Evergreen offered the couple $450,000 plus $50,000 toward their attorney fees, noting that it admits no liability, and rejects the allegations made in the tort claim. Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying accepted the offer and resigned from their jobs at the college.

There's a lot more money to make (with a lot less effort) in publishing controversial opinions that in working in academia.

Re: The Trump Pandemic
Of course you must be right about this.
Your saying so inspired me to listen to more of their story. It is much more convincing than your take on it.
The bit I just listened to was the Andy Ngo interview, just after he was attacked. Sounds like good-old antifa doing good work.
Rumor has it that some number of assholes suggested he deserved to be sucker-punched by a coward, and beaten by a mob, because he reports things that people don't like him to report.
Sounded like a decent enough guy, if a bit rattled.
You're endless correctness, and the timing of your popping up to help me with my mistakes like this, really points me to some interesting news. The day of absence sounds like an idea worth questioning. Things have moved on though. Now we have calls to shut down STEM. You should probably take it very seriously, especially if you are thinking of STEMming.

Eat another orange, Daggles. It's the best excuse you have managed to provide for avoiding information that don't align with your bias. And there's a bonus too. It frees you to go off on tangential rants and sarcastic tirades. As for me, they get increasingly boring. Bye-bye for now.

Thanks for sparking my interest in Andy Ngo. He recently did some coverage of the CHAZ/CHOP area in the US. Should be interesting.
I find you informative, in your way. Very kind of you to put yourself out there like that.
Re: The Trump Pandemic
I gave some more serious thought to your words. This might be the single smartest thing you have posted on here.
Taking you up on it now. I like when the peel comes off in one easy piece. Wish me luck!

No more testing on Trump's dime:
The sites, down from 41 originally put in place to speed up testing at the local level, include seven in hard-hit Texas, where cases are currently surging, as well as two in Illinois and New Jersey and one in Colorado and Pennsylvania each.

That's about 80% of the total number of cases in Oz so far, in one state, in one day...

Re: The Trump Pandemic
That's horrific, especially when seen as part of a trend.

Even worse than the USA's national gradient.
