Speaking of statistics, the Netherlands produces the very best. Accurate and trustworthy. So I used them to build a pretty chart. This one:

It took 4 days for total cases to go from single to double digit territory, five days to reach triple digits and nine to go into four digits. I predict it will take at least eleven days, maybe twelve, for the total to exceed 10,000, by which time the best scientists in the world, meaning Dutch scientists of course, will have developed a vaccine and the best government in the world will have made it available to all 17 million of its citizens. The end of Covid-19 in the best country in the world. Byebye, Covid. All over, red rover.

For a start Brian you make a few mighty presumptions. You accept without question the Chinese figures. You also accept that all deaths are due to the virus. I dont and never will. We will never know the truth. Just why would the Chinese leopard change its spots? The UK has no idea who lives in the country then how in the hell do they know who is sick? We have a pretty good idea who lives thanks to compulsory registration. Any data coming from the UK I take with a lorry load of salt and with American data 10 lorry's load of salt.

To say what is acceptable is rhetorical and I throw it back. Which figures do you accept and what would be your limits. Dont play their game.

You don't seem to understand that the numbers of deaths are "low" due to the strong measures taken. The strong measures you think are unnecessary due to being over reaction. You can't have it both ways. And the numbers in the UK are CONFIRMED cases. That is, they have been tested. Why you don't get simple facts is beyond me.

Most of our highways have 100 km/h limits, with some dual carriageway highways allowing 110 km/h. Parts of the Northern Territory have 130 km/h. So "one of the strictest speed limits in the world" probably refers to the rest of Europe...

My brother in law was not able to visit mom after all. Monday she had her last visitor. Since she is not "end of life," no visitors. Because she is essentially blind, my mother in law has insisted she won't use a cell phone. Also, refused a regular wired phone. So if she needs any supplies or clothing, she now has to grab a staff member and have them call my sister in law.

Sick people, even with flu, are difficult to manage in this situation.

The speed reduction has nothing to do with safety. It is purely for the environment. For safety the speed should be reduced to 70 kph.

Still why should we get our knickers in a twist over such low numbers? Which certain people take as gospel. Governments are notorious for massaging figures to suit their requirements. The UK unemployment figures are a good example. The way data is collected is never the same either and what the WHO is saying should really be questioned as it is the monkey of the American organ grinder.
