The FBI investigation into Russian meddling was authorised and overseen by the DOJ under Trump. If it's illegal then his government carries the can.

people waiting for viruses and bernies and bidens had time to answer surveys. there was a percentage up during impeachment, but now the only president never to hit 50% is down to 42%. this is a poll of polls

Typical: no virus relief without tax cut:
Trump, in an Oval Office address Wednesday night, had asked lawmakers to consider implementing payroll tax relief amid the U.S. response to the virus. That measure, which even some Republicans have been reluctant to endorse, is not included in the Democrats' bill.

I heard Pelosi tried to tack on funded abortions to a covid-19 bill.
So much mudslinging, I don't care yet. You have to wait for 3 firm denials by government, before it can be confirmed.

Abortions would not stop a bill. Taxes is a holy thing for republicans.
Besides, abortions are soon a state level thing. Thanks to Trump court.

Trump's coronavirus effort will come to nothing if he insists on payroll tax cut

Trump says he will sign the bill. He wants credit for it on the same day as his badly worded emergency announcement. If Mitch holds this up past Mon, looks bad for GOP for election.

I give up. You're all crazy.
The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

Sean, you probably have a point that too many people want to be tested for personal reassurance rather than rational necessity, but it still might be the case that the US (and other countries) may not have the ability to test when it truly is necessary...

Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
Testing should take place according to the priorities set by the virologist in charge, obviously.
What isn't as obvious, is which departments are 'in charge'. The National Guard and damn near everybody else has authority over this.
The CDC used to have some pretty broad and ludicrous powers, in their arena. If they still do, then whoever is in charge, will seem to be unless the CDC decides they aren't.

Of course I have a point. The US dropped the ball on testing, and now it has been elevated to a mythical, magical status it doesn't deserve by people who have become so accustomed to making everything about Trump they can no longer see how annoying it is. Worse, they're in the habit of denying that's what they're doing. Worserist still, it's like their job and I'm a goddamned asset to be acquired. Well, acquired motherfuckers, acquired: stand down!
