I'm glad I don't have to think about that much. There are VERY few home invasions in my area, and the most recent crime stats came back to show a BIG jump in crime which, when examined, turned out to be a large jump in cannabis charges, just before the legalization took effect.

Part of why I own one is safety, sunshine. You don't know what you are talking about, obviously.

You have one kind of terrible life going on around you, and think that's the only safety use for a gun. I'm sorry you live such a shitty life. Some of us have other reasonable reasons for having them. Camp gun for bears, is the main safety reason.

As to your situation, maybe a gun wouldn't make sense. (for me, I always try to move my life to safer neighbourhoods / towns / regions)

I'm saying that you DON'T know who has a gun, or why. Pretending that you are some kind of authority on it because of your proximity to gangbangers, is not really that convincing.

Thankfully I've made no such claim. Instead I've fallen back on stats and good reasoning when necessary, and those same stats are assumed by me to be known by most everyone here e.g. owning a gun is associated with a higher chance of being shot by one, go figure, so that they don't need to be repeated.
