Science progresses by chance discoveries not rational argument. Evidence determines theorem not the other way around. Conjectures no matter how absurd should all be considered equal until the evidence is in. :prof:

"Pulsars were first discovered because of their characteristic radio signals, so this is extremely difficult to explain through any theories we have at the moment."

It's hardly surprising that they're off the air at the moment, with all that going on.
They might just have their version of BBC World News, once a week.

'Empty' is a relative term. In interstellar space, the density is about one atom per cubic meter. If you are in, say, the Orion nebula, the density is higher: about 10 atoms per cubic centi-meter or about 10^7 atoms per cubic meter.

Even this solar system has a bow wave and we're hardly moving at all....you can see by the tail that the fucker is losing bits of itself.

A report in the journal Astronomy and Astrophysics, says the pulsar called IGR J1104-6103, also known as the Lighthouse nebula, is moving at more than eight million kilometres per hour and generating the longest jets in the galaxy.
Moving relative to what? And why does it matter?

Presumably relative to the average galaxy vector. Why does it matter?!? It's SHOCKING and DEFIES THE LAWS OF PHYSICS!!1!

Obviously not.

Proves there's no interstellar speed cop. Einstein is dead and so is the speed of light. :prof:
