When were employers given this responsibility to administrate the freedom, religious or otherwise, of their employees' birth control choices?
Rationalia relies on voluntary donations. There is no obligation of course, but if you value this place and want to see it continue please consider making a small donation towards the forum's running costs.

So much for the even, tolerant hand of secularism eh?

Answer to a fundie:
WordAboveYourName, your god may be real to you, but he does not operate in the physical universe. There is no evidence for it. Besides that, he is not even worthy of our notice, he thinks we are shit. He does not apply grace, according to you, because we are shit. Tell him to try living in the physical world. He would do no better.

"Mathematics proves creation" and "god created the goldilocks constants"

Me:They sure have logicked themselves into a corner.

The constants are simply a propperty of matter. No matter, no universe.

You could make a case for the universe determining the size of its own particles, though.

Someone asked about god filling a hole. It's worse than I thought:

Same as any other imaginary friend. Or security blanket. Except you have to bring your own blanket.

Catch of the day:

Why not just create us in heaven in the first place? Why the intermediate physical world, with the rules and the suffering? Why make our default destination hell? I think you are very confused.

But if he is all-knowing he will know all the choices we will make and all the actions we will take before we do.

He will know from even the possibility of our birth if, where and when we will be born and if we're goung to be naughty or nice. Why tesr us if he already knows if we're going to pass or fail the exam?

Why not just send us straight to heaven or hell? It's not like he can ever get that wrong if his knowledge is perfect.

No, he wants us to struggle and strive to please him while knowing full well if we're going to make the cut or not. He's a gloating sociopathic manipulatory monster who revels in the misery, sufferung and pointless pleas for mercy of those he is supposed to be responsuble for and cherish as his chikdren.

What a fucking creepy bastard.

That assumption is based on a human knowledge of space-time and causality. Imagine if you had the power to change anything anytime anywhere? Then your mortal struggle would represent real entertainment value for Q. :coffee:

Asked about you loving god:

No. Jesus and God to the under 10 Tero were kind of good cop bad cop team. Jesus was like my teacher and God like the school principal. I know they both meant well, but it was just their job. ;)
