Even Fox News was quoting the new polls today. I wonder why? Oh yes, they're joint NBC/WSJ polls, the latter of which is now an extension of Fox News.

If Fox News quotes a poll, the poll becomes invalid.

In this particular case, 6% of the poll respondents say they voted for someone other than Obama or Romney in the latest presidential election, so the poll may have some sampling issue.

One of the problems with the logic laid out in the article you quoted is that wealth and income inequality was extremely high at their starting point in 1930, and it's not higher now. That would suggest an 80 year cycle rather than a 300 year cycle.

Of course, the article may be totally misrepresenting Turchin's actual position.
