The Federal election is on this coming Saturday.

For differing reasons, I detest both major parties and their leaders.

The Greens have some policies I support, but are looney-tune leftists in many other ways, so fuck 'em.

There is a huge range of minor parties, most of whom are utter nut-jobs or feral right-wing lunatics.

It's a toss-up whether I vote for the Sex Party, or vote informal by scrolling "All politicians are arseholes" across both ballot papers...

Saw an article yesterday about this Abbott chap. He seems an ass. His main foreign policy seems to be to suck up to Indonesia.

No, he's pissed them off greatly with a series of ridiculous unilateral policy decisions relating to the stream of refugees coming through Indonesia. He's also pissed off PNG where we are hiding refugees for the time being. He described the Syrian civil war as "baddies vs baddies". Fuck, I could go on for thousands of words. The man is an utterly contemptible buffoon who is a homophobe and a sexist. The fact that he's looking like getting voted in here is causing a lot of despair on the left. What the fuck has gone wrong with our country to look to take such a big step backwards?

It's just rhetoric to make up for the fact that he's pissed so many foreigners off. He's also copping flack in relation to his naivety compared to the current PM who speaks fluent Mandarin and has engaged a lot with China (Labor has been the leader here for decades regarding engaging with Asia; the conservatives don't want to deal with a bunch of gooks).

The population is fully on board with our relationship with China and other SE Asian nations. The racists manage to put aside their hate for brown/yellow people as long as they get something out of it (i.e. money).

I used to think that I was the only person who knew how to run Britain properly. The two twats leading Labour and the Tories certainly don't.
But now I find that the local joiner also know's what's needed. And the man who services air conditioning units.
It's beginning to look like everyone here, except the two at the top, would make a good leader.

Maybe Australia is the same. Maybe it's a fundamental constant. God must have intelligently designed the world so that the shit floats to the top.
