No, first landing at SFO. I doubt he'll be invited back.

I'm sure this won't hurt his career at all... it's not like we'll ship him off to... SIBERIA.

Who am I kidding, he'd be lucky to get a posting in Chelyabinsk after this disaster.

Well, he's S. Korean, so they could reactivate his MOS and plant him on the DMZ...

He'd enjoy working at Kaesong I think.

I hope he enjoys frequent, extended periods of solitude...

They could use cargo planes for training flights next time.

Looks like nobody was flying the plane. Maybe one of the pilots had Siri flying it and the GPS failed over water?

I lost the link, but there's some analysis that suggests that Korean culture may have played a part in the (lack of) cockpit communication in those last few troubled minutes. The less-experienced flight trainer maybe being uncomfortable with communicating trouble to the more experienced pilot. Not sure, but it has happened before with KAL.

Then again, the pilots' own reporting is that they set the instruments as per protocol, but the instruments failed to perform as designed. Again, not sure.
