Yeah, I know about nicotine being carcinogenic, it's why I said "significantly".Xamonas Chegwé wrote:Actually, there is evidence that nicotine alone is carcinogenic - although nowhere near as bad as the tar and other bi-products of smoking.Pappa wrote:While nobody knows for sure if there are any risks to using them, it's very unlikely they are significantly carcinogenic

On the whole, e-cigs are a far safer way to get your fix.

There's a fair few roaches in my lungs I think. Left over from the pre-piss days in the Navy.

But, the thing is, if you get rid of the carcinogens from the "exhaled" portion of the cigarette, doesn't that really fix the problem? If someone wants to drink alcohol, they know that is a carcinogen too, yet that's no reason to keep people from drinking on airplanes or in restaurants. So, if pretty much all the nicotine goes into the user's lungs, and the only thing that comes out is water vapor, then isn't the issue of ciggies solved?Pappa wrote:Yeah, I know about nicotine being carcinogenic, it's why I said "significantly".Xamonas Chegwé wrote:Actually, there is evidence that nicotine alone is carcinogenic - although nowhere near as bad as the tar and other bi-products of smoking.Pappa wrote:While nobody knows for sure if there are any risks to using them, it's very unlikely they are significantly carcinogenic

That's a twatty thing to do.
