What we have here is a picture of a person holding a gun. Anybody get those fingerprints?

I'm sure in the trial that hand will be identified as Trayvon's. I bet the cell phone picture recorded some interesting meta data on date and time, as well as location of where the picture was taken. The police already know whose gun it is based on the text messages.

Even if it were possible to prove that this is his hand, it is still meaningless.

1. It doesn't prove that the gun was illegally held, or that he was holding it in any illegal circumstance, and he will be under no obligation at all to answer questions about it. It is not pertinent to the case at all.

2. If they head video footage of him firing off a fully automatic machine gun, it would still have no bearing.

Didn't the shooter follow this kid around the neighborhood looking for an opportunity to confront him? And didn't he do this while carrying a handgun he was prepared to use?

How innocent is a man that goes out at night with a handgun looking to clean up his neighborhood? I think it will be harder for the shooter to prove his good character at the end of the day than it will be for the prosecution to explain away the sometimes bad behavior of a dumb boy.

The supposed implication is that he liked guns, talked about guns, and has a photograph of someone who may be him holding a gun - therefore he is a violent criminal and probably brought this whole thing on himself.

It's not just the pictures, it is the pictures with the text messages and the now known past history. And of course the forensic evidence.
