You know you're a hardcore atheist when you almost get killed by a tornado and are still atheist.

What an odd question for a reporter to ask...
"Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities." —Voltaire
"They want to take away your hamburgers. This is what Stalin dreamt about but never achieved." —Sebastian Gorka

What?
I suppose that this may be so if you're atheistic enough to doubt that some god was responsible for your survival while also doubting that if some god was responsible for your survival, he was not also responsible for allowing the tornado to happen in the first place.

Even in America it's an odd question. One expects survivors to spew that sort of nonsense, but I can't recall ever seeing a reporter trying to coax it out of them before. I guess he just ran out of things to say.

I guess I just can't help myself.

Why would being hit by a tornado make one LESS atheistic? Natural disasters show there's no hand at the wheel.

I haven't watched the video yet - no sound here at work. I assume she didn't volunteer that she is an atheist, but was just responding to the interviewer.

Which would be a change, in that it's usually the interviewee who proclaims their religious belief without any prompting.

Basically, Wolfy says "You must thank God for surviving, right?" She comes back with "Ummmm, no, I'm actually an atheist." Stood her ground against the fuzzy god-lover nicely.

Yup, that's what I thought. Good for her.

And now her life may be in danger. Oklahoma has a LOT of nutters of the religious kind.

Atheists attract the Lords wrath in the form of very humongous whirlwinds. Your home may be at risk if you are living near one. Become a atheist today. The eye of the storm is the safest place to be..... :dunno:
