Weird how the mind works, eh? Give me any sort of linear logic puzzle I'll rip most people's tits off, I'm good at it, that's why I was a good programmer. But give me an anagram, man, I'm fucked. Mrs. Lak just looks at them and writes down the answer. I start a brute force algorithm in my head, substituting one letter at a time. Forget Scrabble, I once actually started a game with "moo". But I kick ass at Trivial Pursuit.

There was an interesting survey, though, done a few years ago, on Canadian Mensa Club members. Believe it or not, over 40% believe in astrology, and over 50% believe that many UFO's are extraterrestrial space craft. Is that rational?

I think in general a high IQ does tend to mean more rationality etc. but perhaps out of those with a high IQ, those that believe they should join a club because of it, tend to be the least rational of the bunch.
