I've only voted in one election like when I was 18 or something. I remember voting for the Conservative party in Canada. Now, I couldn't be arsed to vote and my riding that I live in in Canada or (district as you Merkins say) is represented by NDP, which is the farthest left popular party.

Change to Medicare and Social Security that won't effect coverage but will magically make it cheaper!

Actually if you look at the Romney/Ryan medicare plan, what it does is limit growth to inflation plus population growth. Since that's lower than GDP growth, the medicare budget will fall as a percent of GDP. The trick is leaving coverage at today's levels, and not including more expensive treatments that are developed in the future.

We spend way too much money on medical research, because all of those research dollars plus profit end up as increased health care costs. I'd suggest eliminating medical patents, and fund all medical research through government and charitable funding. Drugs are dirt cheap, once the patents expire.

She was probably Gen X and couldn't stand Biden's obnoxious, overbearing, boomer debate manner.

Of course, us boomers see our manner as confident and assertive rather than obnoxious and overbearing, but that's probably because we're not on the receiving end.

This is the first time that I've seen Ryan. Very unimpressed.

He appears to be lacking in confidence and facts.

He just wasn't making them up out of whole cloth, like Biden was. I almost spit out my drink when Biden said that he and Obama were told by the intelligence community that the video caused the Benghazi attacks, and that nobody asked for more security....lol... a lie told confidently is still a lie.

On security -- Eric Nordstrom, former top security official in Libya, testified before Congress this week that he was criticized for seeking more security. Charlene R. Lamb, a deputy assistant secretary for diplomatic security, told Congress she refused requests for more security in Benghazi because the agency wanted to train Libyans to protect the mission.

I gave the nod to Biden last night, but some polls are more even about it: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/20 ... -biden-44/ CNN's poll actually gave Ryan the victory, which shocked me a bit.

In my view, Biden did a good job of making Ryan look like the inexperienced kid trying to talk to the adult about issues....

Still can't own up to the concept of Ryan being a pathological liar? Well, if his speech at the RNC didn't convince you and last night didn't either, why even watch these things? You're not going to be swayed by facts.
