I agree.

But, when confronted with some enviro-douche who thinks he can be holier-than-thou because he doesn't drink out of plastic bottles, a good question to ask is "how big is your house, again?" and "do you run central air?" "How long is your commute to work?" LOL :prof:

No we allow the intelligent to reproduce none of this chance crap!

This point reminds me of a German song;
"Evolution does not necessarily reward intelligence.
With no natural predators to thin the herds
it simply began to reward those who reproduce the most."
Ratz it's more addictive than facebook and more fun than crack!

Well, just above that 1200 sq.f. And yes, it fits a home theatre and separate rooms for the kids.
Central air? Only a small mobile unit, used a few days every summer. District heating, yes.
Commuting distance? 15 min on bicycle. Car usually only when roads are dangerously icy or snowy.
And the tap water here is actually both better tasting and cleaner than most of the stuff in plastic.

One big problem with population numbers is that rising populations suit the people in power.

The Pope wants more Catholics, the Ayatollahs want more Muslims, and the elected politicians want to get elected. If you can point to economic growth, it gets you votes from the gullible.
Even if the growth comes directly from rising numbers.

There should be a new growth figure. Not the gross figure, but the net figure per resident.
If the press refused to go with the gross figure, we might get a truer picture of how well we are doing.

1.2 million over 19 years. Or, 1.9% of the current population.

To me that really isnt a signficant problem, its nothing compared to the 3rd world

That's a false way of looking at it.
Immigration is nearly always of people who have a culture of extremely large families. So the population growth due to immigration is not just the number of people coming in, it's also the higher birth rate that that causes. The birth rate in Britain would be much much lower, if we hadn't had all that immigration.
It often takes two or three generations for that culture to work itself out.

You also have the fact that people leaving Britain are usually those who are going to have few children, such as retired people, or professionals. Incoming migrants are the opposite.

As you said after a couple of generations they have the same number of children as everyone else (ie they are no longer piss poor). Personally I don't think we get enough immigration in this country I would have for every immigrant we throw out 2 Daily Mail readers. Far rather have people coming from abroad to work hard than some of the layabouts we have here

If they are so hard-working, you would think the international companies would all set up in the immigrants home countries.
The truth is that they're no more hard-working than us when they are at home. But when they go abroad, they work all the hours they can, because they can save the money, and take it home to spend it, where it will go twice as far. The British used to do the same, in Germany. Why wouldn't you, when you're getting double the money you could at home? It doesn't mean that the British as a nation were hard workers.
It's just people taking advantage of currency imbalances.

A signficiant % of those at the bottom society are a complete waste of space (plenty of course are just unfortunate) and immigrants take those jobs. People just go where the jobs are
