Speaking of aircraft carriers

Post by Warren Dew » Thu May 31, 2012 4:00 am

The naval update map shows the least activity I've ever seen, with only two carriers on station or in transit:

Either the budget cuts are biting the Navy hard, or we're preparing for a surge late in the year. I wonder which it is?

I guess we'll know in a few months.

Or that map is part of a disinformation campaign, and all the carriers are in your swimming pool!

Or, some of the carriers have been sucked through a time tunnel to just before the Pearl Harbour attack, like in that film....

Trust me, it was far worse for a Pearl Harbor buff than for the average person. Not as bad as that Afflecked movie that came out a few years ago, of course.

But it's true! Some sailors emerged embedded in the hull of the ship when it reappeared. Someone said that they read about someone saying they saw it....

I just watched it and it frustrated me. First the handling of the Japanese pilot, how easy he got hold of a gun, they just let him sit there, not in restraint of any kind, as if he'd cooperate with them for some reason.....then when that fat senator got mad and hit that first pilot and the pilot went down unconscious?? then he gets the whole helicopter blown up while fighting with TWO navy guys, come on, he couldn't have been stronger than they are? then at the end when what's his name gets into the limo with two survivors from that island and we don't know what happens afterward.

anyway, I didn''t see the one with Aflec, was that good??.

on the other hand it was cool to watch the amazing power of the aircraft and the navy.

by the way, not to go off from the subject, "speaking of aircraft carriers", this movie shows the beauty in them.

Kiki, the Afflecked one is a love story that happens to take place in a universe where one guy won WWII. It really help to know very little about history.
