Don't you live in the country?

Some people have to ride the train when it's full if they want to get to work, or go home. They should be able to do so without being molested.
Sorry, but being "rubbed against" is not the same thing as being "molested." Riding in a crowded subway car necessitates physical contact with other passengers. Now, if you live in Tokyo and you're a cute girl, you might be far more than mere physical contact, and actual fondling of breasts and pubes is, I'm told, pretty commonplace. But that's plain sexual assault. But simple body contact? Please.

It's one thing if there is sufficient space for people to move apart. In such a case "rubbing" up against someone deliberately would be unreasonable, but if it's as shown in the picture, it's just an incident of travel on the subway when it's busy. If you don't like it, don't take the subway.

This is just pandering to nitwits who don't have any common sense and all it's going to do is waste police resources and everybody's time for zero ultimate effect.

Frottage happens even here in the US of A. And I'm reasonably sure the ads in question reference sexual rubbing-- not just bodies bumping because the train is full.

A very large black man was rubbing against her deliberately.
When she got to her stop, as she got off, she looked him in the eye, and said in a loud voice "You scum" but he just looked back at her and said, "You's wrong, honey, I's come twice !!"

She complained to the driver, and he tossed the guy off at the next stop.
So he came three times in the end! :hehe:

"Molest" means to pester or annoy. I'm pretty sure someone rubbing against you in an unwanted and unnecessary manner could be considered molestation in the broader sense.
Actually, I could do with a little of it myself right about now :? Is it still considered molestation even if you want it? :ask:
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

The picture in the ad in the OP is... really unclear. I'm thinking they didn't want to show a nasty guy grinding on a girl who couldn't get away. But maybe they should have done something other than using an illustrative picture that doesn't illustrate.

I agree.

What I don't get is the poster above. If it's supposed to imply that the guy there is doing something wrong, I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. Men are allowed to be on crowded trains and I can't really see what one can do to avoid being up against people on the train, if it's packed. I've been on some packed subways in my life, and it's uncomfortable for me. But, I could never really choose who I stood next to.

I do, however, agree that groping people on a train is wrong.

Maybe they are talking about the woman in green whose back is turned...she appears to be groping the guy in the suit's package....
