The EU is a union of states. The US is a union of states.
The EU gets closer to a political union day by day. It will probably happen before China hits the front in the GDP "race".
And suggesting that Britons should be embarrassed for falling behind Brazil, as in "I mean, .....it's Brazil, Dude", is not far short of racist.
Fuck off with the racist comment. I know many Brazilians and I've been there many times and I speak Portuguese. I'm familiar with the Brazilian economy and way of life. You?
Racist - what a dick comment.
Charles DeGaulle -- "Brazil is not a serious country."
And, here is the same thing out of the mouth of a Brazilian on the 60 Minutes show about Brazil's being a rising star. Click to 9 minutes and you'll hear a Brazilian comment on what the cultural problem is there in Brazil, he says "Brazil is not a serious country" laughs "...because they will say they are going to do something and they won't do that something..." and "Here in Rio de Janeiro you can invite someone to your house and they say they are gonna come and and and they won't show up...they think, who cares?" And, "how can you do business in a loose way? How can you run a country in a loose way?"

Racist my ass...

Brazil has three times the UK population and thirty times the land area. It has natural resources that the UK doesn't.
What logical reason can anybody give to expect Brazil's economy to not overtake that of the UK? Other than the idea that a country with black and brown people can't compete with a mostly white country.
You can take that fucking accusation of racism and shove it up your fucking ass.
First of all, you don't know jack shit about Brazil. Brazilians are not "brown" like latinos, and most Brazilians are white European descent, so under your "theory" they'd be able to compete with Europeans just fine because they are the same racial descent. Blacks make up only 7.4% of the population.
Come back when you know something before you make your scurrilous allegations.
