Of course Snyder says that's the Suckerpunch. That it's actually a reflection of the questionable fantasies of little fan-boys. Frankly I think someone should have just paid for his counselling since it clearly says more about his mentality than those he's apparently attacking. It's not many movies I cannot watch all the way through, I made it to about 12 minutes with that piece of crap.Seth wrote:Nothing, so long as, in this case, you don't mind being branded a sexually deviant misogynist sexist pig who's into sex trafficking, sexual slavery, murder, bondage, rape and pre-frontal lobotomy of your victims.Gawdzilla wrote:And what's wrong with live-action anime?
The worst movie I've ever sat through is this...
And considering the amount of wrongheaded vulgar atrocities Stone has committed to film that's quite a feat. The only time it ever worked for me was in Natural Born Killers. Seriously, have any of you actually watched Born on the Fourth of July or The Doors? They are laughable.

Braveheart. Anti-English tosh. I hope someday someone produces a film about Culloden where the Scots are portrayed as being pretty similar to Orcs.
Still, Gibson got him come-uppance, having to make that film with the talking beaver.

I'm sure it was pretty accurate in that respect. I just found it really flat and uninteresting. The characters had little depth and I didn't identify with them. I'm glad they didn't exaggerate the realism, but there are lots of other ways they could have made the film more interesting.Animavore wrote:Contagion was praised for accuracy by many WHO types. The glaring thing that stood out in that film for me was the religious undertones, anybody who makes a decision based on empirical evidence / fact gets killed, anyone who makes a decision on "faith" lives.Animavore wrote:Contagion was praised for accuracy by many WHO types. Anyway. Most already know it but mention again.
There is so much why would you do that?! in this film.
Aliens! In Indiana Jones?!
The aul one from the first one!
That monkey swinging scene!
Kate Blanchett!
Sympathetic enemies!
Giving Indy a son!
Then marrying him!
What? Why?
And to top it off toned down violence. Did you know Indy kills not one person in this film?

I did not notice that

Same. I just thought it was a horrible ploand poorly acted.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

Yeah but in the previous installments Indy was the one using problem solving and reason to deduce things (with the occasional bit of faith) but in the new one, Although the Nazi woman is a cunt, she makes sound decisions and is killed as a result, it's been a while since I've seen it but I'm sure there were more people that went down the same way.Gawdzilla wrote:They've all had religious themes.Twoflower wrote:Same. Don't even get me started on Karen Allen, she was a fucking clown shoe in that movie.

I would say they're all profoundly religious. The Ark of the Covenant, the Shiva cult, the Holy Grail, and yes, even the space aliens, all show that. The Curious Squid wrote:Yeah but in the previous installments Indy was the one using problem solving and reason to deduce things (with the occasional bit of faith) but in the new one, Although the Nazi woman is a cunt, she makes sound decisions and is killed as a result, it's been a while since I've seen it but I'm sure there were more people that went down the same way.Gawdzilla wrote:They've all had religious themes.Twoflower wrote:Same.
