Re: Liveblogging the Oscars?
That was impressive in dedication and homage to the excessive and meaningless superficiality of the event. Have you ever thought of a career in daytime T.V.? you'd nail it.

I'll second that. That has to be the worst movie to ever be loved by almost everyone. I don't get it, and I've never gotten, why that movie is supposed to be so awesome.hadespussercats wrote:Can I tell you how much contempt I feel for the film Forrest Gump?
The Jenny character always bothered me. She treats Forrest abysmally the entire movie, and she has few redeeming qualities as a person. And, the whole idea seems to be that a real man is monogamous no matter what, let's the woman he loves run around and do whatever while he sits, waits, pines and works, then after he has made his fortune, and she's finished with her running around, he gets to meet his six year old son who she so kindly never bothered to let him know about, and then he takes her in at the very end when she's dying of an unnamed deadly disease....

Re: Liveblogging the Oscars?
Given that the average age of an Oscar Academy member is 137, how relevant are the awards?

Re: Liveblogging the Oscars?
I was busy watching Full Metal Jousting. "The Descendants" got nominated for best picture = pointless BS. I shall now predict that "The Lorax" will win best animated film next year because it pushed environmentalism.
Nobody expects me...

I don't think I'd have the stamina to keep up with banality every day. Just one or two nights a year, if the clothes are fabulous enough.
