Hmm..I think the 'not getting on' was mainly due to the numerous eruptions of scapegoating in the form of 'pogroms', which killed millions of Jews throughout Europe and the middle easy over the millennia.
Scape Goating is kinda appropriate as the term originates from an early Jewish ritual......from litterally blaming a goat

.
But with the Jews it's a chicken and egg situation - refuse to integrate (and over time be absorbed into the host culture) and instead remain as an identifiable seperate group and you
will get picked on......especially in times of unrest / when the money runs out. It's a human nature / pack animal thing (Fundamentally it has SFA to do with them being Jewish). Whether folk think that is a good thing or not is irrelevent - it's just a FACT

.
I can understand why the Jews want to keep being a seperate tribe - but it simply doesn't work whilst living amongst another tribe as you are both perceived as primarily looking to benefit selves (which can only come from others losing benefit
and you actually are.
My take is that been going on so long (in every place that the Jews have
gathered) that it is now a fundamental part of the Jewish identity and that as a group they now
need "anti-Semitism" to continue.
