The safest place in time and space

Post by Clinton Huxley » Fri Jan 06, 2012 9:47 am

Factoid - as far as can be determined, Western Europe at the current time is the safest place in human history, the time and place where you are least likely to die a violent death.

I read it in a book and am jolly pleased I am about it.

Well technically,I suspect no-one has ever been murdered on the summit of Everest, so that is the safest.

Us damned socialist Europeans, with our rules and our freedom to be less likely to be murdered than anyone else.

This house is the focus of global and temporal safety whilst the duvet upstairs is even safer than that. :smoke:

No duvet ever stopped a bullet from a gun, so Phil Lynott said.

The earth rotates on it's axis at around 1,000mph. It orbits the sun at about 67,000mph and it, in turn, orbits the galactic centre at roughly 486,000mph.
Where ever Europe was in time and space (spacetime) when the OP was posted we are already many thousands of miles away.

We are no longer safe :worried:

I read that most serious accidents happen at home. So I moved.
