It's been a while since I've been in Norway, but I do recall the prices being pretty high.
But, when I change my money over to the Monopoly money they use over there, I find it feels more like trading torn up bits of paper for things.

I'm guessing their farm lobby makes it difficult to import butter.
Last Friday, customs officers stopped a Russian at the Norwegian-Swedish border and seized 90 kilos (198 pounds) of butter stashed in his car.

What are they charging for Norwegian cream?

Why wouldn't they just take an emergency measure to allow importing of butter from reputable butter manufactures....
Oh, that's right, I forgot, for a government to make such a decision it requires formal submissions by butter manufacturers, an application process, a blue-ribbon panel of butter experts, four years of study, and then a final decision followed by an appeals process....you'll have your butter by Christmas, 2021...

Can't they just substitute rendered reindeer or yak lard?

So, for about $2 they could make their own.

It's probably illegal in Norway to be a butter manufacturer without a license from the government and proper inspections. Norwegians file forms in triplicate to make a doody.
