Holy shit, you just put star trek and BATMAN in the same list as twilight. I don't know if we can be friends anymore

What's that? There's a French movie that would have that title, but I don't think this is the one you're referring to.Gawdzilla wrote:The Toy

One of the most boring films of all time.Pappa wrote:Citizen Kane.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

Somehow I'm seeing a continuation of the episode Spock's Brain, only with Tero in the lead role.
Don't know why.

Yeah, but Joan Cusack's plastic wigs were cool. And I liked the Magritte-style production design. It did suck otherwise, though. Hard.Gawdzilla wrote:Robin Williams.Svartalf wrote:What's that? Not as hard as Bean. Bean made me want to chew off an arm to escape.
Or Pay it Forward. I had to watch that one because they were showing it on the Greyhound Bus. Kevin Spacey has a stupid face, and is also full of himself. And Haley Joel Osment should have just stuck with seeing dead people.
And You've Got Mail makes me want to kill someone-- not only because of Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks/Jowly McGee. The story is basically that TH represents a Barnes and Noble big-box style bookstore chain, and he tricks MR to drive her little independent bookshop out of business. For this, he is rewarded with her everlasting love. Fuck. That.
And let's not forget Episodes 3, 1 and 2, in increasing order of suckitude.

Oh, good god, hades. I had a study group of male professors who decided that they just had to watch You've Got Mail in order to more fully comprehend American society. I had to not only endure watching it once all the way through, but then go through the whole facking thing, scene after scene, explaining dialog and the motivations of the characters.

I rarely if ever go to the movies or watch films on TV. I always resist the suspension of disbelief required for enjoyment...

I know what you mean. Fiction is at the bottom of my list of genres. Documentaries or films based (more or less accurately) on historical events get my attention. You and I are officially boring old fucks.JimC wrote:I rarely if ever go to the movies or watch films on TV. I always resist the suspension of disbelief required for enjoyment...
