Frozen Planet (new Attenborough series).

Post by Animavore » Thu Oct 27, 2011 10:10 am

Anyone watching this new series, started last night?
If like me you forgot it's repeated on Sunday at 16:10.
It you're American there is a torrent so you can watch it now, as it should be, narrated by the master, before it reaches your shores next Spring narrated by Oprah Winfrey or some shite (although if they get Morgan Freeman that's fine also).

I read somewhere that the American version is going to be narrated by Carrot Top

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

Beautiful, as one would expect.
Though I kept on cheering for the seals and then having a sad when they were caught...

Just think of the baby Orcas...
Personally I always root for the predator. If prey didn't want to be eaten they shouldn't have evolved tastiness :hmph:

The scene where one fleeing Muskox crashed into another being attacked by Wolves and effectively finished the job for them ...

Improved his chances for reproduction you mean? :eddy: The selfish gene at work.

It was one hell of a hit. I've seen the damage that a humble cow can do the bodywork of a car, without any significant speed being involved. I winced when I saw that collision last night.

I just watched a scene shot in Yellowstone where a bison did the same thing. Very short hunt for a dozen wolves.
