Get a rigid mount for the test, not a human shooter.Feck wrote:Svartalf wrote:They'd still have a 3 round bust setting. Submachineguns just are not interesting if they don't have burst or full auto, since that would just make them oversized, cumbersome and heavy pistols.
MMM I'd like to see the group sizes of an MP5 vs a 9mm pistol to be sure of that ?

Re: Cache of guns stolen from LAPD
why ? they are used by a human , but (and i'm not sure ) that if you have spent 45mins crouched behind a wall in a typical British hostage situation that the one or two shots a policeman will get to fire will be a lot more accurate from an MP5 than a pistol ?Zombie Gawdzilla wrote:Get a rigid mount for the test, not a human shooter.Feck wrote:Svartalf wrote:They'd still have a 3 round bust setting. Because you first determine the group spread without the human. Then with the human. You do the human part several times to get an average grouping. You compare that with the fixed mount grouping.Feck wrote:why ? they are used by a human , but (and i'm not sure ) that if you have spent 45mins crouched behind a wall in a typical British hostage situation that the one or two shots a policeman will get to fire will be a lot more accurate from an MP5 than a pistol ?Zombie Gawdzilla wrote:Get a rigid mount for the test, not a human shooter.Feck wrote:Svartalf wrote:They'd still have a 3 round bust setting. dunno... if I wanted something that fires pistol ammo, I'd use a pistol, if I want the range and precision of a long arm, I'd use a shotgun or compact assault rifle.Feck wrote:Svartalf wrote:They'd still have a 3 round bust setting. stuck in semi auto mod, a sub is a cote male taile less portable than a pistol, but with a range and precision that are not really interesting in the light of modern close assault weaponry whose added bulk isn't so great as to make the tradeoff worth it.
It might have been so in the 80s, when the previous generation of assault rifles and related weapon were really big, but modern carbines are barely larger, and shoot better.
Not to speak ill of the MP5, but it was designed for a certain use, if you change usage parameters, it's better to use a different tool altogether.

No, the MP5 is famous and well used because it's accurate (and reliable ) , I'm sure 'Zilla will correct me if I'm wrong . meh i'm biased I'm a terrible shot with a pistol .

Pistols are best used when you have a gun fight in a small room. A closet, maybe.Feck wrote:No, the MP5 is famous and well used because it's accurate (and reliable ) , I'm sure 'Zilla will correct me if I'm wrong . meh i'm biased I'm a terrible shot with a pistol .

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a piece.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

Go basic, 9MM auto. Don't bother with sights, if you have to draw a bead on somebody you're either too far away to get hurt or you're going to miss anyway. Find a gun that's comfortable. Otherwise you'll hate it before you really learn to use it.tattuchu wrote:I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a piece.
