But here’s the thing about rights. They’re not actually supposed to be voted on. That’s why they’re called rights. ~Rachel Maddow August 2010

Oh my! Oh me oh my! That is extraordinary, compelling, and quite, quite beautiful. Little 'un wants to give it a go with the poster paints! :D

Let her. Join in even.

Mr Rower uses acrylics on plywood forms.

I was thinking a person could drape canvas and pour on it. Then it could be flattened back out again.
I'm going to try it. Not on that large a scale though.

Yes paint.
No idea how long it takes. But acrylics dry fast so they would have to be pouring while it was still wet; maybe several minutes depending on the number of layers. And it could dry overnight.

I am an art technique geek and always looking to discover the different ways other people use paint etc.

I suppose the closest we could get is to have an outing to a paint-your-own-pottery place while in Nottingham. :ask:

I'm sure that sounds really dull.

But I'd like it. :shifty:

We've got a place locally that's been there for years but I've never been.. always wanted to though :shifty:

My next door neighbour is a potter, she has a kiln and workshop in her back garden, we used to decorate cups and plates to keep when she babysat us.

We could go - I know there's at least one there.

I've always wanted to try making pottery a bit more - I had a class once and enjoyed it. But of course how many warped too-thick cups does one need? :?

I have wanted to try pottery too, throwing.
I was expelled from the only class I ever took in high school.

Taking an art class with you would be a hoot. :hehe:

I'm much more serious and conscientious now, although I can get excited and do try to share my enthusiasm with everyone.

Pottery class was first period and I would get high on the way to school and ended up tardy too often. Then I refused to sign a contract to not be tardy. As consequences I spent the rest of the semester sitting in my counselors office for first period.
