Oh my! Oh me oh my! That is extraordinary, compelling, and quite, quite beautiful. Little 'un wants to give it a go with the poster paints!

Let her. Join in even.
Mr Rower uses acrylics on plywood forms.
I was thinking a person could drape canvas and pour on it. Then it could be flattened back out again.
I'm going to try it. Not on that large a scale though.

Do you know how long it takes to make one of them?

Libertarianism: The belief that out of all the terrible things governments can do, helping people is the absolute worst.
Re: Way Cool--Watch: Pour Art
Excellent. Who wouldn't want to have a go at that?

No idea how long it takes. But acrylics dry fast so they would have to be pouring while it was still wet; maybe several minutes depending on the number of layers. And it could dry overnight.
I am an art technique geek and always looking to discover the different ways other people use paint etc.

I suppose the closest we could get is to have an outing to a paint-your-own-pottery place while in Nottingham.
I'm sure that sounds really dull.
But I'd like it.

We've got a place locally that's been there for years but I've never been.. always wanted to thoughBella Fortuna wrote:I suppose the closest we could get is to have an outing to a paint-your-own-pottery place while in Nottingham.

My next door neighbour is a potter, she has a kiln and workshop in her back garden, we used to decorate cups and plates to keep when she babysat us.

I've always wanted to try making pottery a bit more - I had a class once and enjoyed it. But of course how many warped too-thick cups does one need?

Pottery class was first period and I would get high on the way to school and ended up tardy too often. Then I refused to sign a contract to not be tardy. As consequences I spent the rest of the semester sitting in my counselors office for first period.
