9/11: a conspiracy?

I don't buy into the typical North American conspiracy theories about the atrocities that occurred on 9/11 2001, but there's several conspicuous matters which raise my eye brows.

*The Pentagon was hit by an airliner, and the event was documented by both the Pentagon's CCTV and that of a small business in the area. Both videos of the footage clearly show an explosion, but neither show a plane hitting the building. I've always been convinced that it was down to how slowly the CCTV recorded the frames the impact, but the Pentagon's footage has the fastest pace of recording.

*I'm remember when the investigation into the terrorist attack began to show vital evidence pointing to the apparent perpetrators nine years ago. By some miracle a passport was found of one of the terrorists at Ground Zero. This clearly indicated the identity of one of the individuals, but how did it manage to survive intact and conveniently place itself near the rubble of the towers? I'm not sure if anyone else remembers this being reported, but I haven't heard anything of it since.

I just did a quick google search, and while there was no links to news websites, my memory serves me well:

One day after 9/11 the perfectly unscathed passport of Satam Al Suqami, one of the alleged 19 hijackers, was found several blocks from Ground Zero, even though its next to impossible such a flimsy item escaped the towering inferno unblemished.

That's from a conspiracy theory website, but it shows I'm not just imaging it

Of course there was a conspiracy. A bunch of Muslim extremists developed a massive, pretty complex, yet simple and basic plan to fly planes into high profile symbols of American power. The hint is in the word 'conspiracy'!

And as with Japan, there are people who refuse to believe "those people" could do this. Many of them are the people who curse "the government" when it rains, or their soda goes flat.
