She couldn't defend her life savings, but she thought they were safer with her than in a bank. Old fool needed someone to make decisions for her.

She could have bought a pair of solid gold insoles (much better than hiding your money in your socks).

A freakin' money belt under her dress would have been a better option than her purse. I used to have a wallet with two loops that went over my arms and held the wallet next to my chest. I would set into the loo for a minute when I needed money. I kept an empty wallet in my hip pocket. I had to buy three replacements for it. And get my jeans fixed where the razor had cut the fabric. Inside the wallet was a note in the local language discussing the ancestors of the person holding the wallet.Făkünamę wrote:She could have bought a pair of solid gold insoles (much better than hiding your money in your socks).

No, not at all. They would have gladly slit my throat for $20 US. But by not cutting me they insured that they'd get away before I noticed the wallet was gone. Me and a friend caught one guy reaching in his camera case. We took him into an alley and left most of him there.Făkünamę wrote:Though when you think about it, it's very considerate of them not to slice your ass with the razor when they're stealing your wallet.
