Well Aza voted DP. And then you voted Aza because he voted for DP.

But then Ob, you say it's not a good idea to vote DP for mayor. Which means you are concerned of him, just as Aza is. So why vote Aza for the same reasons?

^hope this makes sense. :?

there is a difference between wanting to watch a player who claims viewing him is worthless before coming to a decision and wanting him to have tiebreaker ability.

The difference, as I see it, is that DP is an easy place for scum to park a lynch vote. But, I think there's a gap between what oblivion expects the reaction to be when a person claims miller, and what our reactions actually will be. I can see the point of ignoring a claimed miller for a day or so, to try to scumhunt elsewhere (as when we lynch DP we catch either a miller or a scum anyway).

edit: crosspost

there is also experience in games that had miller roles. they never survive long. town often gets useful info from the reactions.

btw have I mentioned that I kinda wonder if there is a scum team? 11 players and a bunch of indies doesn't leave a lot of room for scum.

heh. dp may be the only player who views as scum.

I am now at 54% town.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Yeah, I'd prefer the mayor to be someone who is good at spotting scum. Hence my vote on Oblivion, Irre is a good choice too when she's town. Bloody nightmare when she's scum though.

That would be more like one of Azathoth's games.

Vote DP
unvote; vote Aza
He came out of the gate making a lot of noise and only claimed miller when the FOSs started coming in. Do you trust him enough to give him a ticket to endgame on his word? I don't
your vote post was exactly what I would post if I were scum.
Yeah, I was looking for someone to do that too, didn't think it'd be Aza though.

Unvote, Vote Azathoth

we'll see I guess. I'm not seeing room for much indie presence otherwise.

I was thinking about the balance earlier, miller counts as a negative for town, possibly to balance a small scum team(2? 1 don, 1 vanilla) then maybe 1 Indie and 7 town.

Does that balance out?

depending on the other town roles it would. but it wouldn't jibe with the pg description of the game setup.
