Horizon tonight: Is everything we know about the universe..

..wrong.

Tonight at 8.00 on BBC4. Given some of the recent puzzles (accelerating expansion, the 'need' for dark matter to make theories work etc, I for one will be watching - as boggled and fascinated as ever by this stuff.

Maybe God did it!

Sounds fascinating. Judging by the latest picture of you in your avatar, everything I knew about you was wrong. I had you down as a cold, uncaring, overbearing type, but the way you're hugging that dog is genuinely tender and loving. Just one detail though - was it really necessary to dress it in such a thick overcoat?

Watching now. The narrator sounds like the speaker off the Clangers. Is it the same bloke? (or his son?) The opening shots were hilarious.

Thanks mate.

Since some recent run-ins here getting overly upset and emotionally over-involved I have taken a step back from the forum as it happens and I am now indeed a cold and uncaring as well as overbearing type. I oppress my dogs, treat them cruelly, underfeed them and when I get the chance I torture them a bit.

At some point I hope I get the opportunity to meet you and do the same. :coffee:

Oh, incidentally, having shaken that particular flee off, the horizon pro was OK but not brilliant. It ended up suggesting that the 'standard model' was the best one we have at the moment. Good to see what's out there challenging it though.

I used to love Horizon, but I feel over the last few years it's reduced it's hour long content to about 4 minutes of information and 52 minutes of repeated, flashy graphics and overrought soundtrack. Essentially it's like the Programming For Schools used to be like, but with less content.
