None of this means that the Palestinian cause isn't a noble cause of freedom. But the people who carried out these attacks deliberately killed children and pregnant women. They have earned the label of terrorists; Gawd, if you can't admit this then you should put down the comics and have a look at the real world.December 29, 2005: Three people were killed - two Palestinian civilians and an Israeli soldier - in a suicide bombing at a checkpoint near Tulkarm. The suicide bomber was apparently planning to target one of the many children's events taking place in Tel Aviv for the Hanukkah holiday, but was stopped at the checkpoint. Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
August 31, 2004: Sixteen people, including a 3 year old, were killed and about 100 injured when two buses in Beersheba were attacked within minutes of each other by suicide bombers. Hamas claimed responsibility.
May 2, 2004: An Israeli woman, in her eighth month of pregnancy, was shot dead along with her four daughters when two Palestinian terrorists fired on their car at the entrance to the Gaza Strip settlement bloc of Gush Katif. After the car spun off the road after the initial attack, the terrorists approached the vehicle and shot the occupants at close range. Fatah and Islamic Jihad claimed joint responsibility for the attack.
September 26, 2003: Eyal Yeberbaum, 27, and 7-month old infant Shaked Avraham were shot dead by a Palestinian terrorist who knocked on the door of a home in Negohot, south of Hebron, during a celebratory Jewish New Year holiday dinner. Islamic Jihad took responsibility for the attack.
May 17, 2003: A pregnant Israeli woman and her husband were killed when a suicide bomber detonated himself next to them in a public square in Hebron. Hamas claimed responsibility.
Yes, it's absurd. As are most events in human history.PordFrefect wrote:So it's down to who you think will be the victor? That decides it for you? Nah, remember he don't care bout words n drawin' n shit? Words n shit is nuffin' unless it's been made into like youtube or somefin that ye can "eye" see an not need to like "brain" see? Cept when he wants to give the source material some credence, then he's like all down with like all the comics as signifiers n shit.Ian wrote:I know plenty about comics and their social significance. They're apparently much more important to you than they are to me.Gawd wrote:I see your cultural acceptance is very narrow. Spider-Man convey themes of being indifferent to the plight of others as shown by Peter not helping to stop the robber when he had a chance. The robber then killed his uncle later in the night.Ian wrote: Uh-huh. Care to discuss the social relevance of Spider-Man next? How about Superman?
Superman conveys themes of helping others but at the same time risking the loss of anonymity. By helping others, you yourself can be targeted.
This explains so much: Gawd's a Fanboy.
And just what is your sources, Ian? From reading what you posted, it is a white washing. You don't even post the identity of the "terrorists" or even what their motives are. And I can bet you a big chunk of Palestinian land that these "terrorists" had their own homes stolen by Israelis and their own family members murdered by Israelis. Seems fishy to me.....AIPAC fishy. Looks to me that you want to make it appear that these "terrorists" were nameless, lived nowhere, had no home, had no money, no family, no relatives, and only existed for a brief moment in time. In short, you are a shill.Ian wrote:Really?PordFrefect wrote:A little emotive there Ian.

Israel's fight isn't my fight, but I like the fact that it's a poke of the stick into the idiot's eyes.
Oh please. Is that the best you've got? These things happened - but you don't want to believe me because I didn't list sources here? Suppose I list them? What will you do then, keep your fingers stuck in your ears and continue to say "la-la-la-that-can't-be-true-I-still-don't-believe-you." Jeez, grow up already. These things happened. Palestinians did them.Gawd wrote:And just what is your sources, Ian? From reading what you posted, it is a white washing. You should look up plagiarism. Y'er don't it wrong.Gawd wrote:Oh, Ian, post your sources already. Not posting them is plagiarism. While you are at it, post some articles about how Israel murdered 1400 Gazans. And you are white-washing the Palestinian narrative by not showing who they were and what happened to them to make them do it.
