BTW ANYONE IN LONDON
Its Edward Yang season at the BFI southbank starting today. He's properly stunning and all his films bar one are virtually impossible to get on DVD even online. I was going to go to see all of them but it looks like i have uni timetable clashes tragic- but im still going to catch as many as i can.

I'd recommend this:
It's not really a movie, but a movie-like documentary. Very touching, and has won many awards. And it has naked men in it

Although they are supposedly in Engrish, both Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels are a lot of fun. Brad Pitt's dialogue in Snatch is hilarious.
Second votes for Lola Rennt - watch it once with subtitles to get the story subtleties, then turn them off for the next viewing.
Same with Ghost in the Shell

Just watched Cargo last night. I wouldn't recommend it, but it's ok for a popcorn film.

La Femme Nikita, as has been said OWNS the remake with Birgitte Fonda.
Delicatessen - epic, dark, funny, and with people playing rooftop duets on saws
Amelie - beautiful, witty, and it stars the lovely Audrey Tatou
Pans Labyrinth - day, disturbing, interesting brutal and generally epic.
and for a bit of general dystopian ass kickery and parkour related fun, Bessons' District B 13.
