Where was she trying to bring me back to?

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

No, she only wants to bring back the death penalty and double penetration.

Took them long enough to execute that dirt bag cop killer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troy_Davis_case
In July 1988, Davis plead guilty to carrying a concealed weapon; he was fined $250 as part of a plea agreement in which a charge of possession of a gun with altered serial numbers was dropped
Want to blame someone for his life? How about the stupid Judge that gave him a slap on the wrist for an illegal firearm. He still should have been in jail 14 months later when the murder occurred.

Killing sucks, no matter who does it or why. (I don't mean that it's always wrong, just that it sucks)

Could Somebody remind me who that journalist/activist is/was that was a poster boy about the death penalty system in the US? IIRC, he has/had (I can't fecking remember if he's alive or dead) also supposedly killed a cop, which he always denied, but if memory serves, he was some kind of black panther with a muslim name.

I noticed that nobody talked about him on the news today, which I found strange as the leftists in Radio France used to take any possible excuse to trot him out. But for the life of me, I can't remember the name, or if he's been executed or not.

Back to the Viking age, when a guy could kill you for looking at him wrong and then just pay a fine to your next of kin.

I think that if a state wants to execute people it should be viewed on live TV and be as bloody and messy as possible.

Just so everyone knows exactly what is going on.

I'm not sure that system is so bad, at least in most cases :ask:
Most murderers would be unable to pay, and would then be killed quickly themselves. Most millionaire crime is financial, and with the appropriate fine they would also soon be unable to pay.
Besides, this form of justice does encourage certain forms of politeness. :{D
