In the absence of a counter claim can we provisionally clear Athene?
I think so (while feeling a bit embarrassed about my earlier Athena/Athene/Volcano tangent - ha!).

Athene, in my mind, is cleared. Feck is also cleared (for me). Ksen is cleared, because, in my opinion, Zigmen cleared him.

Linus, in opinion, is really, really likely Town. An early post (which I don't want to put down here, for certain reasons), made me think that. RC is quite likely (but not entirely) cleared, for various reasons, not the least of which is sensible (though in my opinion misguided, because I know what I know) Scum hunting.

Barnett is semi-cleared. He might be being coached by a Scum Team, but ... really? I don't think so. If the Scum Team includes certain players, they'd coach him better than that.

That leaves...

Gonzo
MattShizzle
MZ
DP

In my opinion, three of those four are the most likely Scum.

Of course, everyone else has to put me in the equation, instead of themselves, if they're Town and I'm out to lunch on my reads on them.

you have over 11 hours left in the day, so I'm not sure what you're waiting for me to do . . .

Ha! I think this might be the 24-hour, 12-hour game plus that annoying spinny planet thingie. I sometimes get confused, to be honest, especially during the work week. Not so much about who's who, but about who's where/when.

I'm almost hoping, for example, that someone in a different time zone reads this before voting time, and either confirms my thoughts or posits why I'm being a muppet. Because I've read all I can stand to read, and I need to sleep. I have a long work day tomorrow.

Nighty-night.

My general impression is that he has given mixed signals, some townish some more scummy. I'll try to reread MZ' contributions from previous game days in a while and look at specific things.
Some specific examples: early in day 2, we discussed the topic "why would a scum irre do X"? MZ made comments which I interpret as him rejecting the hypothetical premise that irre was scum, and that he had a town read on irre. Town points for that. Later, he announced he had a town read on ksen, which I find incomprehensible. Scum points. Later still, he says "Her absence worries me on a non mafia level. But in mafia terms I'm finding it scummy." and votes irre. Scum points for reversing his read. 11 min later, with no one posting in between, he changes vote to rc. Neutral/town points.

All in all, a quite mixed bag. What are your thoughts on MZ, Athene?

He was in the lower half of my towniest-to-scummiest list yesterday, and remains there today. I don't like the "objectively scummiest" line, but I think Bilirubin made this term a bit popular so it might be role neutral. What are your thoughts?

Does anyone think DP might be faking a post restriction? He said he was passed earmuffs, maybe UT invented them?

I think Feck, amok, ksen, Linus, and Athene seem town, everyone else I am unsure about. Linus is scum hunting pretty actively, so I am feeling better about him at this point.

I've used the term 'objectively' in one context or another in several games I've played. Usually I'm referring to scumtells. I think shizz has made every basic scumtell there is. Laying low, voting at the end of the day, revenge voting, FOSing without reasoning, lurking without posting, and not scumhunting.

Discworld Day 3

I can't explain why I felt ksen was town when he was trying to get himself lynched. I only voted him to stir the pot. His first posts seemed genuine. On irre I was edging on her laying low as being a scum ploy but decided on balance it wasn't her style. I was really expecting something from her. Then she popped up ill.

I am keeping up with the thread when in range. Not hoarding any data though. Shizzle looks an each way bet. No more.

Though I don't like "objectively" either, the reason I didn't like "objectively scummiest" was mainly because I have not counted that many scum tells from Shizzle. I vote for him mainly for lack of town tells, as I consider most of his contributions role neutral especially in light of his well-established meta as a followy and extremely passive player. But if you count stuff like "not scumhunting" as a scumtell, the total count is indeed higher.
