DP is acting like he's under the influence of a Johnson curse/invention/whatnot, but Zigmen said at the beginning of Day 2...
UT is dead. He was Bloody Stupid Johnson, inventor for Town. Alas, Town will not see any more benefit from him.
DP also warned, shortly after that:
If anyone got an invention and zig is keeping Johnson true to flavour be careful.
DP knows the books more than any of us. Considering Zigmen's warnings, and DP's own warning, wouldn't he be the most likely NOT to use an item from UT, even if it was still in play, which Zigmen's post suggests it wouldn't be.

Today, DP again refers to volcanoes - which must a reference to Anoia (formerly the volcano goddess Lela), who's name Annoy-ya works both in the books as the "Minor Goddess of Things That Get Stuck in Drawers" and in this game in reference to the exasperating MattShizzle. And he votes MattShizzle.

I have to think more, but because of the first two points, I'm leaning toward a bluff. DP won't touch a Johnson item with a 10-foot pole. Right?

I agree with the Shizzle lynch:

##vote shizzle##
Ksen and Athene -- solid town.

Amok and feck -- not sure, leaning town.

MZ -- not sure, leaning scum.

##vote shizzle## -- is responding in an agitated way as opposed to providing a cogent defense.

I CAN RESPOND TO OLDER THREADS THOUGH. CMOT DIBBLER IS A BASTARD. AS IS (POSSIBLY) BS JOHNSON

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Guys, I'm thinking DP is pulling a bluff. Thoughts, please?

Matt is a pain (sorry, Matt), but he's such an easy lynch, too.

We haven't got a single Scum yet. I'm not counting Oblivion, killed by Scum in my opinion, because I'm assuming she had sided with Town.

White cane time... How does this refer to Shizzle?

Shizzle annoys people because of his posting style. I've only played one other game with him, but he does have a tendency to complain about, well, everything. Too many posts to read, too much "fluff," etc., which can be quite insulting to those who are trying to figure stuff out. Plus he doesn't (in he games I've played) add much of substance. I understand how it can be grating - and I'm not even ruling out that he's Scum; it might be a bus) - but I just can't grasp that DP would take hold of a Johnson item, consider all that what said by Zigmen and DP.

I kind of agree with this. I don't see anything different in shizzle's game from the previous ones but at the same time I'm not aware of any game where shizzle was scum.

I am reasonably confident of ksen's explanation as I don't see any other reason for irre to get killed.

Thanks Amok. I still feel Shizzle has an edge over MZ at this point.

Barnett, I'll add I don't know Shizzle all that well. Just this game, and one previous, and the game he GM'd (which I watched as a bystander). But I do remember him saying in the last game (which was quite large and convoluted) that he thought it was stupid/lame/etc. for any day to go beyond eight pages, and that he wouldn't read more than that. I think there were about 20 of us, and, really, how insulting is that? Even if each of us only posted five or six times a day, it would go beyond eight pages.

Depends. What's the tradition for objects in these games? Are items passed around or are they one-offs? At RatSkep cursed items tend to persist.

Well, we're at four so he's got nothing to gripe about.

In the absence of a counter claim can we provisionally clear Athene?

Darn... hit post too soon. I meant to say, that's why I think a Shizzle lynch is an easy lynch. Even if he flips Scum. Because he sort of annoys people, like the stuff-stuck-in drawers goddess.
